Walt Disney will always be loved by some and hated by others but however you look at the individual, it is fair to say that  Walt Disney was a pioneer and the

possessor of one of the most fertile imaginations the world has ever known. An innovator and visionary Disney, along with members of his staff, received more

than 950 honors and citations from every nation in the world, including 48 Academy Awards® and seven Emmys® - in his lifetime. Disney elevated animation to

an art form and through his relentless drive for perfection he invented new technologies and techniques for the motion picture industry. During his career he created

new standards for industries through his product innovation for television and for modern day theme parks.  Arguably the first individual to become a brand

name Disney - a modern day Aesop - led David Low, the late British political cartoonist, to call him "the most significant figure in graphic arts since Leonardo."
