"How do you decide who is good enough to be included in the collection?"

Answer: The selection of individuals I include is purely personal. They tend to be the 'older' veterans of the motion picture industry, people who have been involved right from

the earliest days of modern film making. The basic criteria is that each personality has (in my view) made a significant contribution to the industry, a person who has raised

the bar and been an inspiration to artists, musicians and engineers around the world. Almost all of the people I have drawn I have had the honor of meeting at some time

or the other and this too influences the choices I have made.

"Why are there so many LucasFilm related people in the collection. Surely there are other VFX companies that have just as many talented people that could be included?"

Answer: Walt Disney was the first important influence on me and it was because of the work the Disney corporation was doing, that I decided to become an animator.

George Lucas and the release of "Star Wars" in 1977 had an even bigger impact on my concept of what the film industry was capable of and it is fair to say, that this

was the single biggest influence on my choice of career. I cannot honestly say I am a big fan of the "Star Wars" (story) or of its sequels/prequels but I am an admirer of

the people behind these movies and of the inventiveness each has shown in creating the individual elements that combine to create these milestone movies. Because the

illustrations featured here are something I really enjoy doing (even though I do not have much time in my day to indulge in this passion), I prefer to keep everything

manageable and unfortunately this means that a lot of deserving people are sadly not included.

"Are there other people you would like to add to the collection?"

Answer: One of the reasons I started this was to put faces to individuals involved in the industry - for those like me, who are interested. It goes without saying that

if it were possible to do thousands of these illustrations then the list might be made of of the following: Craig Barron, Doug Chiang. Ron Cobb, John Dykstra,

Harrison Ellenshaw, Stuart Freeborn, John Gaeta, H.R. Giger, John Lasseter, Van Ling, Mark McCreery, Syd Mead, Willis O'Brien, David Prescott, Carlo Rambaldi,

Dennis and Robert Skotak, Mark Stetson, Richard Taylor, Phil Tippett, Douglas Trumbull, Steve WIlliams and Matthew Yuricich - to name but a few, and I have

not even scratched the surface.

QUESTION: "Is it possible to get copies of these illustrations?"

Answer:  As a rule I don't make copies available because keeping up with all the requests and mails I can receive would be an impossible task. Thank you very much.
